Your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains, in simple terms, what personal information I collect when you use my website, why I collect it, and how I use and protect it.

I am an independent Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® teacher based in Austria, and I only collect and use personal information that I reasonably need to run my website and provide my services.

2. What information do I collect?

Depending on how you use my website, I may collect:

  • your telephone number, if you provide it

  • information relating to a purchase of services

  • payment and transaction information when you purchase a class or package

  • technical information that is automatically sent by your browser when you visit the website, such as your IP address and browser type

I do not ask you to provide medical or health information through my website.

3. Contact forms

If you contact me through the contact form on my website, I receive the information you enter into the form, such as your name, email address and message.

I use this information only to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to discuss or arrange a Gyrotonic®, Gyrokinesis® or other session with you.

The legal basis for this processing is generally Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry relates to a potential booking or service, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR where I have a legitimate interest in responding to general inquiries.

I do not use information submitted through my contact form for advertising or newsletters.

4. Booking and purchasing classes

If you purchase a class, package or other service through my website, I process the information necessary to complete your purchase and provide the service to you.

This may include your name, email address, details of the service purchased and information relating to the transaction.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary to fulfill the agreement with you.

5. Payments

Payments made through my website are processed using Squarespace Payments.

Squarespace Payments is Squarespace's integrated payment service. According to Squarespace's current payment terms, payment processing is carried out by Stripe, Inc. or its relevant affiliates. (Squarespace)

When you pay by credit or debit card, your payment details are processed through the payment system. I do not have access to your full credit card number.

Payment information is processed for the purpose of completing your purchase, handling refunds where necessary, preventing payment fraud and fulfilling legal and accounting obligations.

6. My website and Squarespace

This website is hosted and operated using Squarespace.

When you visit the website, Squarespace may process certain technical information necessary to operate, secure and maintain the website. This can include information such as your IP address, browser type, device information and information about how the website is accessed.

7. Cookies

My website uses cookies and similar technologies.

At present, I have intentionally not connected Google Analytics to this website.

9. How long do I keep your information?

I keep your personal information only for as long as I need it for the purpose for which it was collected.

For example, I may keep correspondence relating to a booking for as long as necessary to manage the booking and our relationship.

Some information, particularly information relating to payments and accounting, may need to be kept for longer because Austrian law requires businesses to retain certain records.

When information is no longer needed and there is no legal reason to keep it, I will delete it or otherwise securely dispose of it.

10. Who has access to your information?

I do not sell, rent or otherwise make your personal information available to third parties for marketing purposes.

Your information may be processed by service providers that I use to operate my business, such as:

  • Squarespace, which hosts and operates my website

  • Squarespace Payments and its payment-processing partners, for online payments

  • email and internet service providers, where necessary to communicate with you

These providers may process personal information on my behalf and are required to handle it in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have a number of rights concerning your personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information I hold about you

  • ask me to correct inaccurate information

  • ask me to delete your information

  • ask me to restrict how I use your information

  • object to certain types of processing

  • ask for your information to be provided to you in a portable format

  • withdraw your consent where processing is based on consent

I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure.

No method of transmitting or storing information online can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but I take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the information I handle.
